arrow Position location – Chicago office.

The Customer Service Representative is the right-hand person to the Logistics Account Managers to assist with daily operations of existing custom accounts. He or she will provide outstanding customer service and continue to maintain the strong relationship with the customers and continue to help grow the account.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Manages building loads and scheduling appointments for delivery
  • Updates third party systems to reflect accurate data and information
  • Gives notice calls to warehouse to confirming address shipment and special instructions or details
  • Approves truck rates for customer and confirms details associated with load
  • Maintains accurate and complete customer data in Tracking Management System (TMS) including details, activities, and attachments
  • Consistently achieves data integrity and meets activity timeliness, quality metrics, and goals
  • Strives for successful and effective working relationships with Logistic Account Executives, Carrier Sales team, management, carriers, and other agency departments
  • Participates in developing by attending courses, seminars, classes, and webinars to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Tracks and updates deliveries for pick and for delivered while also collecting proof of deliveries
  • Problem solves with escalated customer communication along with updating customer portals
  • Assists with prospecting and customer relations by developing existing customers and closing new customers

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or 2 years equivalent logistics experience or a related field
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
