The Training and Development Specialist manages the training of all new hires and refresher trainings of existing team members.  The Training and Development Specialist also spearheads team member development by providing additional training and/or resources for the professional growth of our staff.  The Training and Development Specialist will have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the freight brokerage and logistics industry.

Day-to-day:

  • Understand all Fastmore’s services, processes and systems
  • Introduce new hires to the business and conduct training sessions
  • Continuously review and proactively update and improve training programs and delivery methods
  • Integrate systems training provided by our business partners
  • Create, maintain and utilize web-based training modules and instructor-facilitated webinars
  • Integrate and utilize classroom training with real-world, business-specific situations to drive desired learning outcomes
  • Assess effectiveness of training programs through a variety of methods such as surveys and implement necessary changes
  • Participate in processes and technology improvement initiatives
  • Focus on reviewing and enhancing the existing business process to streamline cycle time and utilize automation
  • Train all programs and procedures utilized by sales, managers, accounting and administrative personnel
  • Create business processes and procedures training for all new initiatives
  • Document training records

Who you are:

  • College Education
  • Freight Brokerage and Logistics industry knowledge is a plus
  • High energy and enthusiastic presentation style to engage and energize participants
  • Familiarity with a variety of training methods, tools and techniques
  • A solid teacher, coach and guide for all levels of trainees
  • Experienced in operational and sales training
  • Proven ability to master the full training cycle
  • Sound decision making and organizational skills
  • Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences
  • Proficient in MS Office
