The Customer Sales Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of a high-volume brokerage operation. The Customer Sales Manager will provide overall leadership in the areas of P&L management, customer relations, performance and continuous development. Applicant must possess a successful track record in performance-based environments that focus on customer service, urgency and ongoing improvement. The responsibilities include:

Day-to-day:

  • Execute a cohesive sales strategy for maintaining and growing existing business.
  • Mentor and help lead a team of inside sales reps; interview and train new employees, manage day-to-day operations with KPI metrics and conduct employee reviews in conjunction with Human Resources.
  • Present KPI’s on a weekly/monthly basis in management meetings
  • Act as a partner to the Carrier Sales Manager and as a liaison between customer reps and carrier reps.
  • Drive both revenue and margin growth across all modes, develop and maintain best business practices.
  • Use data to drive productivity improvement; review sales activities, KPIs including volume, margin, revenue, communication both on the phone and over email.
  • Conduct weekly pipeline reviews.
  • Provide industry expertise, guidance, and support to sales and operation teams.
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation, of business unit
  • Manage direct reports up to 10 inside sales reps.
  • Review and evaluate all of Fastmore’s SOP documents as it relates to the sales team.
  • Ability to make changes as the business grows.
  • Work closely with outside sales reps to successfully maintain and grow customer base.
  • Work with sales team on effectively quoting potential shipments.

Who you are:

  • Experience with hot shot, FTL, LTL and other multi-modal transactions
